Pepwave Remodel: Starlink maxed our throughput

I had forgotten that there would ever be a day, while on the road, where a 10/100 network port would ever be insufficient.

Our Pepwave BR1 Mini LTEA Cat 6 Modem simply can’t keep up with the throughput of Starlink, so we’re going all in on a revamp of our base network setup.

We will be moving our primary Verizon Grandfathered plan to the Cat12 modem and our backup AT&T into the Balance 20x internal Cat4 modem.

We have also activated speedfusion bonding from Pepwave, allowing us to route critical apps like Zoom over multiple WANs into a bonded VPN. This should help us avoid call drop outs from any of our providers as we’re duplicating packets for fail over. More to come!
